Workout Motivation

Did I really let a month go by between posts? Oops! Maybe it was just a little too much celebrating during birthday month or maybe it was just 2020 exhausting me, but I hadn’t felt like sitting down at my computer for a while. I’ve also had a hard time staying consistent with my workout routine. I seriously went from working 5 times a week to only 1-2 times and I have no idea why. Today will be my 50th ride with the peloton app (and the end of the free 3-month trial, sad day) and to celebrate the special day, I’m sharing something that has helped me with my workout motivation: work out sets! IMG_2144.JPG I’ve shared other individual pieces that I love before, but I got this set “for my birthday” (if anyone is keeping a count of birthday presents I’ve given myself, please share…or don’t. Maybe I need to stay ignorant lol). It kept going out of stock at Nordstrom, so when my sizes came into stock I GOT IT! I also treated  myself to this outfit because I LOVE all of my Zella leggings that I’ve had for a few years now.  They keep everything in, don’t roll, and didn’t get ruined after a few washes (heck, even after a few 100 washes). My set keeps going in and out of stock, but I will link as soon as I am able! These two are similar, similar.

I’ve linked a few price friendly options. Now, some of these may not be as “squat friendly” as the more expensive version, but reviews tell all! I checked most of them, but I always recommend you check before your purchase!

As much as this set was a birthday gift, it was also a reward for putting in hard work for the past few months. When I was consistently using the bike, I lost a good 6 pounds, without changing my diet. The diet is a real problem, but balance, y’all. I can’t do it all (please, read the sarcasm in these sentences, haha)!! Putting on this set (or a cute workout outfit) at the beginning of a “slob” day motivates me to not “waste” an outfit on the couch. Whether I do a full 30-45 minute ride on my bike (similar, great reviews;another option!) paired with a yoga/strength class or get a quick 15 minute workout in, I use my outfit as a reminder to get myself moving! I’m also looking into getting myself one of those jugs to track my water intake. Any workout motivation or health motivation is NECESSARY for me. Is there anything you do to help get you moving throughout the day?
