Leopard Button-Up

Happy Happy Monday, lovelies! If you find yourself on my end of the world, you enjoyed the return of Short’s Season! I’m now officially keeping a water bottle on me at all times. Meaning, I will finally take the plunge and get me one of these. Once the temperature starts to dance around 90 degrees I also start searching for light blouses for work.  Since I travel to different schools throughout the day and have to load/unload materials, I need light and breathable fabrics that still look professional. I’m so excited to share this leopard button-up blouse and the brand that I’ve recently fallen in love with!AlyandtheValley_leopardtop5.jpg

A few weeks ago, Nordstrom was having its Spring Sale and I decided to pick out a few pieces to freshen up my wardrobe. I ended up with my wedges from last week’s post  and this blouse by All in Favor hat is going to be perfect for the remainder of the spring semester. I was immediately pulled in when I saw the leopard print…because, obviously, I’m me and I love leopard, haha! But this blouse got even cooler the more I looked at it!

AlyandtheValley_leopardtop1.jpgIt is an actual button-up blouse so there are buttons to button, but it is also a draped blouse (the kind that criss crosses that is so popular right now)! I love how it is a blouse that is friendly for professional wear. It will also look so great with distressed shorts for errands in the summer or some sleek leather leggings for a night out!

I also see myself rocking this blouse for many occasions and hairstyles! A low slick pony (like I have here), a high curly (or straight!) pony, big bouncy curls or beachy waves! I feel like when you can get versatile with your hair with a blouse, it lends itself to a variety of looks. If you know me, I like to be sweet one day and edgy the next, so I’m all about that!

AlyandtheValley_leopardtop6.jpgI’m thinking of buying this button-up in the Paprika color. It is very similar to this year’s Pantone Color of the Year. The leopard print really complemented my mustard sandals and I figured my leopard miller sandals will have an equally stunning effect with the paprika color. I don’t wear very much red or orange. This is the right time to add it to my closet since it is ON SALE for under $30! The material is light but seems to be very durable. It’ll be a classic for years to come!
