As I write this intro, I am sitting in a room full of women preparing for a hot barre class. I haven’t been to a hot-anything class in weeks. I haven’t broken a sweat (on purpose) in days. Today, I decided that I was going to restart again. I made a goal of running a 5k at the beginning of this year. In case you haven’t guessed, I haven’t done it. I can’t say that I’m sad about it though. My goal of running a 5k was a comparison of myself to others. I felt like that was a good measurement of physical fitness, but I’ve come to realize that maybe it wasn’t the right measurement for me.
