Time always seems to be the one thing that gets away from us. Mmm, Mmm, Mori Japanese Grill

If you’re a valley native, you’d probably agree with my surprise at how much our little Rio Grande Valley has grown in recent years. I remember coming back from college and being excited about all of the new movie theaters and restaurants that have sprouted up,  as if overnight! Theres definitely a new restaurant scene in our area and sometimes that can be little scary to explore, which is why I’ve decided to do it for you! Dressing for a Warmer Fall

I think I’ve mentioned it a few hundred times- it’s still hot here in the RGV and it looks like it’s going to stay that way for the next few months or so.  As much as I love complaining and wishing for cooler weather, I (very many of you) have to accept the fact that the heat defines our Texas falls. Lipsticks I’m Loving

Something y’all know know about me is my love for jewelry and shoes, but I’m here to tell you about one of my latest obsessions: LIPSTICK! I’ve really branched out these past few years…drill team red lipstick used to be the main staple of my make-up bag as was any lip balm I could get my hands on. Not much has changed. I still love lip balm to combat dry lips. Still carry my lipstick in a bag…a lipstick only bag that stays with me 24/7! I guess you can say I’m a little more obsessive about the lipstick I’m loving!

Aly and the One Year Anni

I did it! I am exhausted writing this post after an eventful weekend, but I’ve done it! It’s done! I have, by some people’s measures, blogged for one year successfully! I have been reminded via photos from a year ago of the big big dream I had. I have had dreams of blogging  for years, but never had the confidence to do it. I thought of it all the time and always felt that it was something that I didn’t deserve to do, in a sense.
