Blazers for Fall and the Perfect Jeans to Wear them With

Happy Hump day! I think the lack of social activities has made me eager for a change in season. For the first time in like- ever, I am ready for fall.  I mean. I love the “-ber” months; I love a good pumpkin spice latte, and if there were leaves on the ground I would love to “crunch, crunch, crunch” right through them as I walk down the road! However, if you’ve looked up or live near Pharr, Texas you know: there are no leaves, it’s only cool in the evenings, and you better get your coffee iced! REGARDLESS of Fall being my fourth favorite season,  it’s still a favorite. Over the years,  I’ve come to conclusion that the best way for me to enjoy fall fashion is by rocking a blazer with some cute skinnies! I decided to wrangle up my favorite colors/type of blazers for y’all to get some inspo! AlyandtheValley_Blazers3913

Before I get to the blazers, I want to talk to y’all real quick about the perfect “legging” and or “jegging” to wear with your blazer! Most blazers make for a masculine fit, so it’s important to find balance between the blazer and your bottoms. I prefer a skinny jean, but since I’ve been spending most of the day sitting in front of a computer, I like to wear jeans that are comfortable yet flattering. Luckily, 1822 Denim sent me a great pair of their butter leggings to try out. They seriously do feel like butter! I love that they still made me look great without being tight in all the wrong places. I typically wear a size 12, but the 10 fit me perfectly (not even a bit of muffin top- I have to be real about that!). Because of the buttery stretchy goodness, size down one size.  I got the darkest wash, but there were 3 different washes to choose from!AlyandtheValley_Blazers3889AlyandtheValley_Blazers3909

When it comes to the blazers, I’ve noticed a pattern. Maybe, in the past two years, you have too. I love a pink blazer (mine, no longer available in pink) and own them in hot pink, dusty rose, and now in this bubble gum pink. I like to rock a pink blazer when fall begins because it’s a nice transition from summer to fall.

I know that pink is not the most logical color for a blazer in the fall, but I couldn’t deny my personal preference! Prints are also fun for blazer because you can literally utilize the same black cami with each one! Some printed blazer staples for your closet would be ahoundstooth blazer, a plaid blazer, and a polka dot blazer. I just got my polka dot blazer from Leona Style in McAllen and I want to wear it all the time!

An issue I have when deciding what blazer to buy is pricing. I don’t like to spend too much money on blazers because I feel like they’re such statement pieces. I’m willing to spend around or under $50, but of course admire a steal. I tried to pick pieces in those price points. If you’re looking for more investment blazers, I’d love to make a post that specializes on that! do y’all have any blazers that you love and wear time and time again?
