Happy Friday, friends! Welcome to the weekend! Mind you, I’m still in the mindset that today is Thursday. Either way, I wanted to get this LONG post up for y’all so you could keep putting together your wish lists and be ready for PUBLIC ACCESS day on August 19th! If you’re not 100% ready to splurge for this sale, but do want to spend some money on some discounted items, THIS is the post for you. I share everything from t-shirts to my repeat purchases from sales before. You’ll be fully prepared to get your Nordstrom Anniversary Sale loungewear and basics from this post, so get comfy!
Basic & Fun Tees
It was hard not to buy everything in this category! I purchased this Caslon Pocket Tee in pink and striped version (check for these to come back in stock) because you just can’t pass that up for $13! I thought about purchasing similar version to compare, but decided not to. If you prefer simple t-shirts without pockets, I linked a few! While putting this post together, I may have made an extra purchase or two- haha. Free people had two different tops that I had on my wish list. I ended up not ordering the thermal because I ordered this camo thermal (the one I’m wearing!) because it was little more unique! I ordered the basic t-shirt because I think it will nice to own basic long-sleeve shirt to wear with leggings.
I really want to order this tie-dye tee, but I told myself that it was the camo or the tie-dye and I think camo is more “fall.” Who knows what I’ll end up with by the end of the sale, haha!
Leggings & Joggers
Keeping with the theme of “only buying what you need,” I didn’t purchase anything from this category. I already have an amazon pair of joggers I love and some leggings as well. With that being said, my amazon versions are around the same price as some of these pieces. A few years ago I bought some Zella leggings and I LOVE them. They’re still around and really keep everything in! I’ve heard the lighter colors “show everything,” so I’d stick to the darker colors if that’s a concern. Of course, the Spanx faux leather leggings are made for this category! Don’t forget to order your pair! You’ll use them all the time, especially now that some of us are WFH.
Jeans & Bottoms
I will be honest, I wasn’t really impressed with the denim/bottoms selection this year. I only ordered one pair, and I only ordered it because I saved it 3 different times, ha! Because of this situation we’re all in, I feel like I also wasn’t interested because any jeans I bought in previous years are still in great shape. I am linking a few classic ones (basics!) for y’all to check out!
Pajamas
I wish that I could’ve also enjoyed this entire category, but I only ordered two pieces. I mainly wanted to compare this lounge wear to the stuff at Target. Stay tuned to see what I think!
Undergarments
I thought it was so important to include this section to y’all ASAP because even though clothes is important and fun, I HATE paying full price for undergarments. A great bra can cost you up to $70 and that’s a lot of $$$ to me. I fell in love with this bra after I bought it in the nsale last year! This used to be my favorite, but I prefer the soft cup to the lacey one (well, I have a lot of the lacey one already, ha) Both are Natori, but if you go with the ‘feathers’ bra size up one cup size. I would do this with this bra as well. I told myself I would treat myself to a hanky panky thong, but couldn’t justify the price. Not hating if you use them (I obvi want one, but am cheap), but the commando brand one was a better price for me and I LOVE seamless underwear! These are my favorite nike sports bras (one & two), which I can’t put in the carousel, but can link!
That was a work out. Y’all I can’t believe I got all of that in, but I’m so happy that y’all will be able to check all of these things out.
