Wallpaper Print Trend

It’s been a hot minute since we talked about a trend on the blog. I’ve been doing a lot of online shopping lately though and some trends are hard to escape. The latest one I’ve been crushing on (Please hold your answers if you’ve read the title, ha!)? Wallpaper print!

I would describe “wallpaper print” as tiny printed flowers placed on a piece of clothing in a delicate way. I also think of tea sets. Is that just me? Silk blouses are also very in right now and I feel like the combo would be perfect for a midi skirt! I’ll share some other favorites here before talking about the stars of this blog post.

I have a bit of a dilemma that I’d really love your help with…I bought two Rachel Parcell clothing pieces in the same print. Who does that? Me. Let me tell you why though! This blouse was my OG favorite and I eyeballed it as the price went up and down and all around during these amazingly (insane) sales that Nordstrom has been having. One day when I was teasing myself with the thought of adding the $80 blouse (marked down to $30), I noticed they only had an XL available in the beautiful (wallpaper) print I was obsessing over!!! This was the time- And thanks to my broad shoulders and long torso (please document this statement, I don’t know if I’ll ever say that again) I KNEW I would be able to make an XL work out for me. Maybe. Stay tuned.

IMG_9425As I was selecting my options to “add to cart” (the black option of this blouse is also really pretty, but it’s hot enough in South Texas without dark colors) I noticed a familiar blue print dress from the corner of my eye! Could it be?! My Rachel Parcell wallpaper print blouse IN A DRESS?! You bet it was.

IMG_9435What’s a shopaholic to do?! I’ll tell you what she does…she adds the wrong sized blouse AND the right sized dress (originally $119 down to $44!!) to cart.

I’m not saying that what I did was wrong, but I know that I should be making better choices financially. Maybe. I have two options now: I can return either the dress or the shirt OR I can keep both. I’ve polled a few people and everyone makes their choice but when I give them that second option…they agree that I should keep both! I find it hard to accept that advice because my inner circle usually advises against the extra. If they’re saying keep both, should I?! I need your help! Let me know what you think in the comments. Help a girl out! Happy Hump Day, friends!

  1. I’d keep both! They were a great price and you obviously love the print. They are lovely!
