Mother’s Day Gift Ideas

Since April dragged on and flew by all at the same time I totally spaced on putting together a Mother’s Day Post for y’all! My apologies to the mommies! I put together a quick little guide for all of my late shoppers! Don’t worry about shipping time- most things are taking about a week to arrive or are available for store pick up! Never underestimate store pick up! Prior to all of this I was thinking of doing a whole blog post on my love for store pick-up…maybe now is still a good time for that?IMG_1685

I was a little unsure of what I felt would be great gifts for our all of the wonderful Mothers and mother figures in our lives right now. More than likely, she’s (or you’ve) been working in overdrive for the past month and I’m sure what she’d like is a break. Most of these goodies are perfect for relaxing at home and some will get her excited to venture out to the grocery store, or to pick up a sweet treat from your local coffee shop or bakery! Also, massage gift cards may be out of the question this year, but you can gift her with this massage gun for the time being!

I just purchased this acrylic calendar for myself and it helps me coordinate our weekly (minimal) plans with family! I’m working on a little information center at the garage entrance of our house and this is one of the main pieces! We’ll also have a spot for our keys and the mail here! I’m so excited to put it together and show y’all soon. I’m sure mom’s will appreciate some help coordianting schedules now that more of us have gone back to work.

I wore this dress for a collage post and totally forgot to take a few shots without the sign! Oops. Anyway, we’ve got so many pretty flowers blooming around town, I thought I’d take a few pics to commemorate them. Only a few more weeks until everything turns from green to brown with this HEAT! This dress is also on sale for under $30, which is how much I paid a while back. I almost returned it when we started trading dresses for loungewear, and I’m glad I didn’t! It is sooo light and I feel really comfortable when i have it on! It’s more of a midi, so i don’t worry about it dragging on the floor. Also, these shoes were worth every penny, can you tell?!

IMG_1696My mother and I are different in a lot of ways, but we’re both on a health kick right now, so she has requested (shoes, duh!) and workout clothes. We also want to spruce up her backyard over the next month so we can use it more this summer. We’re definitely beach people, but will probably be hanging out by the pool more often. For those of you who aren’t really interested in material gifts this year, lending a hand is always appreciated! You can also use your hands to make some homemade goodies! I’m looking for a breakfast casserole to take over to my mom’s on Sunday morning, so she won’t have to cook! I hope you find something your mommy will love! I’d love to know what y’all are doing for Mother’s Day this year!
