Brunchin’ at Bonhomia

In case you missed it, I was brunching’ all over the valley last weekend! I was already planning on doing a little feature on the newer restaurant I visited and was going to do it at my usually glacial pace. BUT OMG- y’all were EXCITED about my visit to Bonhomia. So excited that I’ve been asked all week long about “that place I went to.”AlyandtheValley_Bonhomia8987

Last weekend was a rare occasion. Miguel usually works over the weekend, so I’m left to my own devices when it comes to making breakfast plans. Since he was off, I decided that I wanted to take full advantage of our weekend and headed to a new spot for brunch.

I hesitate to do the trendy things (restaurants, at least) with my husband because he’s just a classic guy and rather play it safe than sorry. He’ll never say no, but we’ve had a few disappointments during our adventures, haha! I had seen a couple of blogger friends head to Bonhomia and was (of course) following them on instagram. I’m a HUGE fan of chilaquiles and when I saw this pic, I took the trendy chance and told my husband to head to Main Street. Alyandthevalley_Bonhomia.JPG

As soon as you walk into the restaurant, you’re greeted by the crisp and clean decor that is elegantly welcoming. You also have a dessert case FILLED with goodies (that I didn’t get to try, but am dying to go back for!). We were seated at our table, all of which had a marble look to them and the most gorgeous neutral chairs. We were presented with menus that featured the cutest doodles of the morning cocktails offered. I didn’t try anything with alcohol this time, but we did try an almond milk latte and the cucumber lemonade. I usually find myself wanting a little more coffee to go, but this time around, it was the cucumber lemonade that won out! I think it may have had something to do with the mint ice cubes!

Miguel and I both decided on the chilaquiles because they are a favorite at every brunch spot we visit! However, when he saw the croque madame being served at the counter, my husband instantly decided to change his order, so we could try both! They were both so filling and tasty! The chilaquiles and the croque madame were absolutely delicious. The chilaquiles, without surprise, were our favorite! As much as I wanted to eat my fill and more, I knew I had to stop myself! I wanted a dessert so badly, haha!

AlyandtheValley_Bonhomia9526I know as interested in this breakfast spot as y’all were, you were also very interested in my look that day! The top, was from she-in and is so fun and colorful! It is really so striking and I can’t wait to wear it again to a fun day event! I paired it with these black pants to play it safe, but I know it would look great with white jeans and maybe some distressed shorts in the summer time! Don’t forget that you will also be able to get your whole order for 15% off with my code: aly415
