Holiday Outfit Ideas

Hello lovelies! After the weekend I had, I was actually excited to greet a Monday…who am I? I wasn’t completely worthless this weekend, as one would think. I worked really hard on getting together gift guides and other Holiday Outfit Ideas for y’all! It was nice to take it slow (says the workaholic who technically worked through severe allergy fits!) and focus on something I enjoy doing.

With the holiday season coming up- Thanksgiving, Christmas (Eve and Day, if you’ve got a big Mexican family like me you do it up big on both days), and New Year’s Eve (and Day, because menudo isn’t just going to eat itself!) come at us faster than we can ever anticipate and there is always another party here or there to attend. If you’re like me, and I think you are because you’re subscribed to my blog or follow me on instagram, each outfit has to be special in its own way! This is why I decided to put together a whole post of Holiday outfit ideas to get you through the entire season. I have some ideas about Thanksgiving and some dreams for Christmas, but will be referring to this post all winter!

Dresses

Holidays can be hectic, so a simple outfit is always best. While, I find it hard to listen to my own advice sometimes, it really is true! The first pieces I want to show to y’all are some dresses. One piece, one thing to worry about. Simple and easy.

Now, I know y’all loved this dress when I wore it two months ago (omg) for my sister-in-law’s baby shower. It was out of stock at time of the shower, which is why I never tagged/posted it. If you’e an eBay shopper I found five versions for you (small, medium, medium, large, and XL) so have fun! I think they’re all NWT! I’m wearing a medium for reference! It’ll be a great party dress, if you can get your hands on it, but since it’s not readily available, I decided to give some other dresses a shot!

One. This dress is definitely more suited for a NYE event or Christmas Party, but I couldn’t keep it off my list. I love the multi-colored sequin! I’d definitely dress this up with a fun pair of heels!

Two. I haven’t ordered this dress, but it keeps catching my eye! The silvery blue is a lot of fun and is so appropriate for the winter season (use code: aly415 for 15% off this dress from shein!).

Three. I. am. so. torn. I ordered this dress with plans to return another (stay tuned, it’s coming) because this one is a much better price point. This is a different take on a maxi dress and this would probably look great with some booties or sandals aka valley footwear (use code: aly415 for 15% off this dress from shein!).

Four. This Tiered Dress is very Carrie Bradshaw, so you know I’m all about it. It’s on its way to me in a long-sleeved version, but I think these sleeves are so much sweeter. This is definitely a versatile LBD that you can wear for multiple occasions (use code: aly415 for 15% off this dress from shein!).

Five. One-sleeved pieces are a thing right now and while I haven’t always been the biggest fan (it’s the shoulders, y’all. They do not allow for this kind of top.) I am very intrigued by how gorgeous it looks. I’m also V into the high slit, here. Who doesn’t love a sexy red dress?

Six. This dress is another winner for Christmas or NYE. I love the extra material on the right side and the hem, while lengthy (no messing with your dress all night) is still sexy because of the front hem!

Seven. I DIE for this dress. If you have a formal Thanksgiving dinner planned in any part of your day PLEASE wear this dress for me! I’d wear with bold black accessories and a red lip.

Eight. & Nine. THIS. is my other Thanksgiving Day option. This is a pricier option, but when it arrived and I opened it, I fell in love. It looks so basic online, but it is gorgeous in real life. The sparkles are just subtle enough that I feel like it’s a great option for Thanksgiving. I really need y’all’s help to vote one this! What do you think?

Ten. Honestly, I could just wear this dress from the Kendra Scott event for Thanksgiving and call it a happy day. This dress was so flattering. The little knot in front did wonders for giving me a lot of shape, which I LOVED! This comes in a ton of colors and is worth every penny!

Eleven. I love this dress! It was so comfortable when I wore it the other day. It was also so fun and flowy. I do wish it had a slip underneath, but for the price, I couldn’t complain!

Tops

This next section definitely gives you an opportunity to be a little more comfy!  Each of these tops will pair wonderfully with some Spanx leather leggings  or some faithful jeans. I’ve added some light tops and some chunkier sweaters for places that can actually differentiate between summer and fall!

One. & Two. I am so bummed that this top isn’t available in my size in burnt orange because it is SO cute! It’s available in a gorgeous olive color, as well.

Three. Eyelet lace is something I usually reserve for summer, but this rust colored blouse is kind of an exception to the rule! I’m loving high necks right now and this one is breezier version

Four. Target has been upping their blouse game with these tops under $20. This one is no exception and could easily be re-used for work. I think I need to order it for myself!

Five. You can never go wrong with purchasing a red blouse or sweater. These balloon sleeves are so dreamy and I could see this pairing so well with a pleated skirt and my leopard booties (similar).

Six. I about died when I saw this sweater on Ashley Robertson’s instagram. I wish I could promise cooler weather for at least a month. If I could, this would be on its way to me RIGHT NOW! It’ll be perfect to wear around the living room with family and is perfect for a pony!

Seven. I have a slight obsession with sweaters, specifically grey sweaters. I also love pearls so much and this sweater combines the two! The mock neck is super cute, also!

Eight. I included this top because SO MANY of y’all told me how much you loved it! Being able to wear it as a cowl neck and off the shoulder makes it two tops in one. I’m also loving the sleeve update in this newer version!

Shoes & Bottoms

The last little section of this (lengthy, thanks for sticking around!) post are for the bottom half of your body! Skirts, Leggings, Shoes- each of these can change up an outfit you’ve worn for YEARS and make it a little more special! Most of these aren’t in my personal collection, but I have my eye on them for Christmas!

one. Like almost every girl (young woman…am I not a “girl” anymore?”) I owned a pair of combat boots in college. They went with everything, but were not “chunky” in the slightest. These Dr. Martens are V chunky, but also V sparkly, so I feel it may be my duty to myself to give them a shot. I’m 100% sure they’ll spruce up anything you deem “too simple” for the holidays, but also give it an edgy vibe.

two. These booties are on my personal Christmas list (coming soon!) because they are incredibly cute and the right shade of snakeskin to match with any outfit. Like I said, you can wear leggings on the holidays, but why not turn heads, anyway, with a great pair of shoes?

three. These flat mules make my heart sing! Like how cute would this be with leggings, that grey sweater from earlier and of course, black leggings? Too perfect. Also, that outfit really allows for the ultimate turkey experience…I may have to reconsider the dresses, folks.

four. I LOVE finding a dupe. Especially when I think the dupe is better than the original. The original sits pretty at almost $200, which is reasonable if you live somewhere where it drops below 70 several times throughout the fall. These have a lower heel (still cute, though) and I like the nude shade a tad more. They also only cost 1/4 of the price. That’s a win for me!

five. I finally got a pair of paperbag shorts (these came in the mail on Monday!)! I haven’t tried them on yet, but These are such a fun print that I couldn’t risk not including them. Especially at the price  (use code: aly415 for 15% off this dress from shein!)!

six. & seven. Get these before they’re gone! They’ll be the key piece of your holiday outfit inspo! I am practicing self control when it comes to these! By self control, I mean, I’m going to buy them when I get paid on Wednesday and bask in their sparkles for the rest of the holiday season! Talk about a show stopper, these leggings will OBVI dress up any look and make any pair of heels even more killer than before. It’s a vibe that I need in my life right now. They’re both under $50, so I don’t know why you’re still reading!

Maybe I went a tad bit overboard, but I’m not sorry because these pieces will have y’all so ready for the holiday season! I hope y’all enjoyed and would love it id y’all could help me with my Thanksgiving clothing dilemma from earlier. Too many options is never a bad thing, but it can get pretty difficult! Have a fabulous Tuesday, friends and HAQPPY SHOPPING!

  1. I have a little bit of a problem: that being, I want ALL the pieces that you linked. Everything is so cute – especially dresses 3 and 4, blouse 8, and shoes 4. Obsessing over your picks!
