Something y’all know know about me is my love for jewelry and shoes, but I’m here to tell you about one of my latest obsessions: LIPSTICK! I’ve really branched out these past few years…drill team red lipstick used to be the main staple of my make-up bag as was any lip balm I could get my hands on. Not much has changed. I still love lip balm to combat dry lips. Still carry my lipstick in a bag…a lipstick only bag that stays with me 24/7! I guess you can say I’m a little more obsessive about the lipstick I’m loving!
The reason why I feel these 3 particular lipsticks deserved their own post is because I’ve also come to the conclusion that I need to pay much less for lipstick if I’m going to remember to wear it every day! I’ll never leave my favorite liquid lip ever (which needs to be replaced, which is also why it’s not pictured!) That’s why I decided to head to the drug store for two of my liquid lipsticks. The third, was an amazon find…so that’s like my drug store! All of these lipsticks are $20 and under, which is the price tag I need to be paying!
I’m going to start with the lipstick I’ve had the longest: Tarteist Matte Lipstick in Salty. This lipstick was actually a recommendation from a girl I love following on instagram! I struggled to find a great nude lip that didn’t feel boring. This one has a hint of pink in it, so it does give me a little bit of color I need for day-to-day life AND for pictures! I also love that this dries fairly quickly and isn’t messy! I am wearing it here.
This next lipstick is my current favorite. It’s the NYX Liquid Suede in Tea and Cookies (the name is TOO CUTE). I searched high and low for a bubble-gum pink! I didn’t want to get something too close to my Stila Lipstick in Baci, but wanted the color to be fun! I want wear this one every day and I’m a little worried I won’t be able to wear it as much this fall, but I’ll probably manage to sneak it in several times. This was the perfect color for my one-year anniversary blog post!
I actually intended to buy the liquid suede when I stumbled upon this one. I was not excited about the glossy “slick” feel of the lipstick. Then, I let it dry…OMG. This “candy slick” in ‘Birthday Sprinkles’ leaves the best hot pink stain on my lips. Wearing a berry lip stain is one of my favorite things to do in the fall, and I’m (again, haha) hoping to incorporate into my fall wardrobe!
