How many times have you bought a silk scarf and have left it folded in a drawer or wrapped nicely around an inanimate object? Every time is my answer. You all know I love jewelry and I feel that you either wear big jewelry or a statement accessory like this scarf or a hat. I have been infatuated with the idea of dressing up an outfit with a scarf for a while now, but struggle to actually commit an outfit to it. This is why I decided to be brave and pull out this scarf I’ve had since Christmas circa 2016 and style it a few different ways!
Around the Pony
This look was the least intimidating for me. I remember wanting so badly to wear ribbons in my hair in 4th Grade, but my mom and I were bow girls (Jojo, who?) until the messy bun or a “bundle” (did y’all call them that too?!) became my go-to hairdo in 6th grade. This scarf totally makes my pre-teen dreams come true. I love that the scarf gives me a 50s vibe, but the blazer and studded purse really modernize the look.
Around the Neck
The original home for a silk scarf! I would really love to do a video tutorial of the different way to tie a silk scarf (I went for a loose, almost handkerchief like look here). I might do one on insta stories later, if y’all want! You can tie your scarf much tighter with the ends flared out, wrap it so you only see a tiny knot in the front, you could unfold and turn it around for an actual kerchief, and the methods goes on and on. I think wearing the scarf this way would be great for a Saturday full of fun events like brunch, shopping, and a dinner with friends! I love looking chic when I’m with my girls because it gives us something fun to talk about!
As a Purse Wrap
I absolutely love seeing when people have a scarf wrapped around their purse. I’ve never been one of those girls, which is why I am so proud of myself for just going for it with these scarf looks. I’ll be pulling out my summer purses soon and I think they’d all look so sweet with a brightly colored scarf!

Now, we can talk about the rest of this look! I got this blazer on sale a few weeks ago and was so pleased with the fit. It was light enough to continue wearing in the spring/summer and fits TTS (true to size). It’s still currently ON SALE and also comes in the most delicious cranberry red color and a classic black. If I’m being honest, I think I need all three in my life.
I initially intended to wear this outfit with a new white camisole I purchased, but came to find out it was backordered. It looked so good with a classic white V-neck though! I got so many compliments on this casual Friday look!
