Hello, friendlies! Happy Spring! Over Spring break, I started to Spring Clean (did not finish. RIP motivation.). This also motivated me to finally get my office space in order! To celebrate this HUGE WIN, I’m sharing 10 things about myself with y’all today!
- My full name is pronounced Ah-lee-sah. It’s “Alyssa” (uh-lIss-uh) with Spanish vowels! My grandpa (and the rest of the clan) used to call me ‘Aly Wally’ when I was younger and my husband started calling me ‘Aly’ all on his own one day. Some things are just perfect that way!
- My favorite color is yellow and I have to actively stop myself from buying clothes this color! I’m so good at reminding myself that I actually need to buy more yellow clothes!
- My husband is my high school sweetheart!
- We have recently become parents to two pupperoos, Bane (Weimaraner) and Batman (Black Lab). Any DC fans enjoying those names? They’re out of control, but the cutest boys ever!
- When I was younger my family would have to make a bag of popcorn for them to share and a separate one for me to eat on my own…this hasn’t changed! I LOVE popcorn!
- I am very close to my family and my husband’s family. We are so blessed to be surrounded by so much love! As many of y’all have also pointed out, we also like to celebrate birthdays!
- I’m a school-based Speech Language Pathologist by day and actually jumped straight into my major my junior year of college because…
- I was a Kilgore College Rangerette at Kilgore Junior College! Yea 70! (8.5- I was also on Texas Pom for a year at “big girl school!” Hook ’em!)
- I hated my big hair and eyebrows all through my adolescence and now I’M TRENDY!!!
- I can cry like a baby on command.
Well, that was fun! I am so sorry that number 10 was number 10 because I really wanted to go on from there, but TEN IS TEN! You’ll just have to stick around for more!
