Florals for Fall

Welcome back, friends! Last week was beyond crazy! From Sunday, up until this past Saturday evening, I’ve had something going on.  I’ve always said, “I rather be busy than bored!”  Anyway, two of my favorite people in the world are welcoming their baby girl in November, and I was lucky enough to celebrate them both (my guy friend is SO ready to be ‘Dad of the Century’ and was at the shower the whole time!) two weekends ago.  Leading up to the shower, my best friend and I were a little torn about what we wanted to wear for the shower.  Maybe it’s just me, but October is definitely FALL- September is just Summer’s younger brother who likes to tag along.  So when exploring the internet, the stores, and (briefly!) my closet I was STUMPED on what color scheme felt right for the event.  The morning of the shower, before Sunday morning breakfast with my family, I raced to Target and tried on several cute numbers. There was this pink dress, this adorable pinstripe jumpsuit, but the piece that took the cake (and my money!) was this gorgeous cropped jumpsuit

unnamed-4Jumpsuit. Booties.

Transitioning into Fall is always hard, especially in the Valley.  I mean, we’re halfway through October and our BIG cold front gave us temperatures in the 60s…not that I’m complaining! The roses on this jumpsuit are soft and halfway between coral and burnt orange, which is exactly the vibe I needed for the baby shower! The legs have slits, making it breezy for high temps, and the sleeves will keep me warm on chillier days!  This baby is just a win, win, win!  I also got the chance to bust out the booties I bought during the Nordstrom anniversary sale! They’re so comfy and that cut at the ankles is SO elongating!
