2019: A Year In Review

2019. Whoa. What a year. Most people that I’ve spoken to have been saying that 2019 was a ROUGH one. I can’t say my year was bad, but I can’t say it was easy and breezy. It was incredible in terms of my marriage and travel! Work was overwhelming, but I worked so hard, this semester, to make therapy more fun for the kids, which in turn makes it easier and more fun for me.  Were suffered a huge loss in our family this fall and that has been especially hard during the holiday season. Blogging has been incredible. I’ve collaborated with several dream brands on a small level and can only hope that this means bigger and better collaborations are coming in 2020! While, blogging has been a source of relaxation and a true hobby for me, it has been a blessing to collaborate with brands to bring y’all exposure and reviews to products you’re interested about!

New Year’s Eve Outfit Ideas

I have yet to have my fill of holiday movies and treats, which is great for y’all because it leaves me seated and free to type up a plethora of blog posts! My sister-in-law called me yesterday to ask if I had anything sequined for her to borrow for New Year’s eve. Believe it or not, I only have the sequin pants seen here and my Christmas dress from The Fashion Market! I was truly shocked! Continue Reading“New Year’s Eve Outfit Ideas”

Merry Christmas! Love, the Trejos

Merry Christmas, my friends! I know you’re busy enjoying family, church, friends, and lots and lots of food and drink, so I’ll be quick! My husband and I made the time to take some Christmas pictures for some last minute Christmas cards last week! I was stressed that it wouldn’t happen and sad because it was a race against the light, but all it took was 30-minutes and we were able to do a fast photoshoot with just us, a tri-pod, and the beautiful backgrounds at Maddie’s Pumpkin patch!  Taking 30-minutes to do the things that make me happy has been a theme of mine lately and the benefits have been tenfold. A little time brings a lot of happiness. I hope y’all have enjoyed your Christmas holidays and enjoy this quick shoot as well! Love you all! Continue Reading“Merry Christmas! Love, the Trejos”

Gifts Under $30

Hello, my friends! Thank y’all so much for your kind words via DM about me kind of being off my game this weekend (and lately)! I decided to just give myself some time to mentally rest this weekend. While I love blogging and shooting outfits and making gift guides it can be kind of hard to come home from heavy report writing days to stare at a computer screen for another few hours. My house was also IN SHAMBLES because I was starting laundry, Christmas decor, and who knows what other tasks and not finishing any of them. Needless to say, I am feeling a lot better and little more mentally organized (does that make sense). I am actually writing this blog at my desk, which I haven’t done in SO LONG. It’s nice. Last night, I finished up my gift guide under $30 collage because something in this price range was HIGHLY requested! This whole gift guide would be great to put together a gift for your co-worker, put the finishing touch on a gift for a sibling, or put a smile on the face of your long distance bestie!

Wardrobe Upgrades for Under $20

What’s up fashionistas! Are you enjoying the beginning of the holiday season? I am! We’ve been doing holiday-themed therapy all week at work and it’s made me so happy! I’ve also been playing Christmas music- my students don’t mind at all! Welcoming the holiday season has also brought temperatures ranging from the 60s-80s (in the same day, because: TEXAS). This gave me a very bad (for my wallet) desire to update my wardrobe. Truth be told, this always happens to me. The seasons change, and I start to think about what I can do to update my wardrobe without spending $500. Lucky for you, my research yielded a bunch of wardrobe upgrades for under $20.
