Hello lovelies! It’s such a fun time of year! I always look forward to “love season” because it gives us an opportunity to show our loved ones (SOs and beyond!) how much we love and appreciate them! I posted total of 0 gift guides for Christmas this year as I was very pregnant and then VERY in the hospital or with a baby. I thought I would put together a couple of gift guides for y’all with some goodies for mommy and baby. I was surprised to find myself more excited to finish the one for kids over the one for Mama!
Gift Guide for Her
I decided to go a tried and true route for this gift guide as I feel like it’s one of those holidays where a “GIFT GIFT” isn’t really warranted. My husband and I don’t generally do gifts one-day or our anniversary, but we both have “quality time” as love language. Dinner, a couple’s vacation or a cozy moment to slow down works for us! Either way, I own 66% of the items in this post and would love to own 100% Here’s the skinny on these items:
Lululemon Belt Bag: Okay, I don’t own this piece yet. I DID order it in a cream color. I loved my Gucci fanny pack when we went to Hawaii and this one is a little less fancy for more casual looks. I’m thinking it will also be easy to put in my diaper bag when I have baby.
Simple Modern Cup: If you buy one thing for a pregnant woman- buy her this cup. Okay, maybe there are better things to buy her, but this cup was AMAZING in the hospital and postpartum. All throughout these experiences, staying hydrated is important. This cup keeps water ICE COLD and your loved ones can bring it to your face when you’re feeling fatigued. I get nauseous when I breastfeed/pump so mu husband has been SO QUICK to fix up my cup for me when I don’t look so hot, hahaha!
Electric Frother: This is for the coffee lover in your life. There is nothing more fantastic than upgrading your at-home coffee game. I honestly don’t feel the need to leave home for coffee anymore and this is a huge reason for it!
House Slippers: These are a wal-mart find for under $15 and are such a good “look for less” of the Ugg slippers. They are so soft and the color is fun. These are probably my most worn shoe right now!
Wedges: I NEED THESE IN MY LIFE. These shoes come in pink, white, and black and will be so cute for this spring and summer! I haven’t fallen in love with a wedge in a while, but these are special!.
Pearl Slides: Real talk- I messed up. I bought the designer Jimmy Choo version of these for my pregnancy. They are lovely, but I did SPLURGE on them and they came scuffed from the toe. Mind you these were not available yet, but now I kind of want these! They go with EVERYTHING!
Heart and Bow Earrings: I shared my Ettika code: LTKalyvalley20 (heart earrings) a while back for some jewelry inspo, but I cannot stress enough how gorgeous these pieces are and how special they make an outfit. Of course, y’all know I’m a huge fan of Kendra Scott and these Bow earrings are absolutely stunning!
Cozy Robe: This was a ‘look for less’ that I won! This is a great inexpensive version of the barefoot dreams robe. I wear it non-stop and have gifted it to a few friends when i feel they need to treat themselves!
Gifts for Kids
Hey, it’s me Aly from Aly and the Valley, new mom. Apparently, I had a lot more fun fantasizing about what to get baby girl (I mean, who can resist the clothes!) than for goodies for myself. There were so many cute toys to choose from also. I personally gifted this soft purse to Addie for Christmas, but didn’t get it personalized. I wish I had now! Here are the rest of the goodies! I think they pretty much speak for themselves though!
Shop my look
I’ve made a couple of posts about V-day outfit inspo AND things I just purchased from Soma, so I thought I would share those links/collages here as well for you to take a second look at. Especially the SOMA pieces since they are having a HUGE sale this weekend! Some bras will be as low as $25! I will be picking mine up today and probably popping onto stories to share!
It was so fun to put together a full blog post for y’all and I hope to do so more consistently. It’s definitely something fun to do while pumping! My breastfeeding post should be up soon since I feel like I’ve learned almost everything I can at this point. It should be interesting. I hope y’all are having a fabulous day with your loved ones today and all love month long!
XOXO,
ALY
