What’s up fashionistas! Are you enjoying the beginning of the holiday season? I am! We’ve been doing holiday-themed therapy all week at work and it’s made me so happy! I’ve also been playing Christmas music- my students don’t mind at all! Welcoming the holiday season has also brought temperatures ranging from the 60s-80s (in the same day, because: TEXAS). This gave me a very bad (for my wallet) desire to update my wardrobe. Truth be told, this always happens to me. The seasons change, and I start to think about what I can do to update my wardrobe without spending $500. Lucky for you, my research yielded a bunch of wardrobe upgrades for under $20.
Truth: all of these items are blouses. It may seem simple, but getting few versatile blouses can make a huge impact in your wardrobe! Two of my favorite clothings stores, H&M and Target have caught on to this and have been selling some incredibly gorgeous tops for under $20! With the holiday sales, I’ve even seen them for $10!
This shirt, actually comes in a lot of different styles in addition to the classic button down. I LOVE that because when I finally realize that I have too many button downs (a million in my closet, and they’re still my fave!) then I can check out the print I LOVE in a different shape/style of blouse.

I picked a few of my favorites for y’all to check out! I know there are a lot of holiday parties with friends, for work, or even fun events (anyone else headed to a Nutcracker Ballet sometime in December?!) that we want to look a little special for. We shouldn’t have to break the bank or feel bad for wanting a new piece of clothing. Be mindful, I know I can also tie up my button downs in a knot with some jeans, tuck it into my slacks, wear with leggings and booties, or even a French tuck like I did in these pics!
