Good morning, lovelies! The last week of school is practically O-V-E-R! Officially. In my district, the kids are able to come to an extra week of “enrichment camps” to take special courses, such as cooking, yoga, or art! This is the last week for speech therapy, though! I have had so much going on for work that I didn’t get a chance to get this post up up until today!
Target has been killing it with their collaborations, lately. By lately, I mean every time since they started doing collabs. I’m still so salty I was a very very very poor graduate student when the Lilly Pulitzer collection launched, but I digress. The latest of the wonderfully collaborated collections is with Vineyard Vines. I’ve always loved preppy looks because I can dress them up however I want- with ribbons and pearls or studs, if I please.
The funny thing about Target is that you go in looking for one thing and end up leaving with another. That was the case with my shopping trip last Saturday! I found two pieces from the Vineyard Vines collection that I loved and ended up falling hard for some pieces from the newest Who What Wear Collection. For this post, I’ll be sharing 5 pieces total on the blog today and LATER I’ll be sharing an up close look at all of the goodies that were featured at my store.
Outfit: 1 .Striped Romper.
This little number is the piece that cam home with me! I’m a curvier girl with a long torso and rompers have a tendency to be way too short on me. I’m usually a size 10-12 and got a large and it fit just fine! I love that I can cinch the waist and feel like this would look great with a blue jean jacket for Memorial Day or Fourth of July Parties!
Outfit 2: .Strappy Dress.
This dress was a little different than what I usually get, but I wasn’t disappointed in how it fit! Intermixed with the hibiscus flowers is the little Vineyard Vines’ whale! So adorable and apparently I loved the red, white, and blue theme that Target and Vineyard Vines went with for this collab! There were so many other pieces that weren’t available in my size that I won’t get to share with a pic of me, but I will share my favorites below!
Now onto the beautiful pieces that I happened upon during my little shopping trip!
Outfit 3, 4, & 5: Lemon Skirt. Chambray Blouse. Off the Shoulder Blouse (Similar).
I can never resist a lemon print! I already have a dress in this print, but I feel like I could use another one! haha! I loved how this off-the-shoulder top had a sweet little bow detail on the front. I really wanted to buy it right then and there but pay day only comes once a month and I have vacations to save for! I will mention that I have been praying all week for this top to be there when I do get paid, haha!
How ADORABLE IS THIS SKIRT? I pulled it out, again, because I loved the print, but I didn’t think the skirt would do ANYTHING for me. However, I actually thought it was pretty cute. I grabbed a classic chambray top (which is ON SALE) to pair with my surprisingly wonderful skirt. I already own one that is similar to this and highly recommend you make the addition to your closet if you don’t have one already! I love tying it up like this especially during the summer time.
This was the little combo that surprised me the most! I’ve never been able to pull of the matchy matchy set. Trust me, I have tried, but it just never ends up looking right. I didn’t intend to photograph this, I didn’t intend to show it to anyone, and I’m not entirely sure it’s actually supposed to go together, but I think it looks amazing! Being that yellow is my signature color, I feel like a head-to-toe look is something I’d love to wear during my birthday month!
I know that so many of the Vineyard Vines pieces are sold out right now, but the staff at Target assured me that they will be going in and out of stock for a while! Were you able to grab your favorite pieces?! Do you think you’ll grab one of these other pieces in the time being? Let me know how your Target shopping trips have gone! DON’T FORGET: I’ll be sharing my full thoughts on these outfits when I initially tried them on on my instagram stories, later today! Have a great weekend, y’all!
I love the matching lemon blouse/skirt combo!!!
