Is it just me or is finding the right kind of distressed jean shorts just so hard? I have bought several new pairs every year, dying to duplicate the effect of the $165 dollar ones I crave every year. This year I took a new approach and decided to spend a little extra on a pair of shorts that I will wear all summer long. I love how these distressed jean shorts hug my curves, but are long enough for me to feel comfortable. Wearing shorts at 27 is way harder than wearing shorts at 21, but I think I’ve gotten it right this year!

What I’m Watching: Game of Thrones

For 8 years, I have resisted watching this show and now I am bingeing it any free moment I get. I am a huge fan of intricate stories of make-believe worlds, so it makes sense that I like it. The first episode was hard for me to watch, but once I made it to the second and third episodes, I was hooked. If you haven’t tried, you need to watch NOW. It’s like missing out on Friends or Titanic. You just have to do it!

What I’m Listening To: Amidst the Chaos by Sara Bareilles

I have loved Sara Bareilles since her first album. What appeals to me most is the wit of her lyrics. This album doesn’t to disappoint but the track with John Legend KILLS me. If you ever have/need a moment to yourself, this is the album you want to listen to.

What I’m Eating: College Nutritionist’s Tortellini Greek Salad

I’ve showed my lunch to y’all a couple of times on instagram stories and this is by far my favorite! I love following the College Nutritionist’s Instagram Page for lunch inspiration. All of her recipes are really simple and easy to replicate. The tortellini salad is probably my favorite because two of my favorite foods in the world are pasta and cucumbers, haha! Oh, and feta! Things I’m Looking Forward to: Travel

Miguel and I will be traveling to Cancun, Mexico and Orlando, Florida this summer with our families and we are so excited! We are both very close to our families, so getting the opportunity to travel with everyone is such a blessing! We’re going to have so much fun, I can’t wait to start packing!

Summer Vacation is so close (10 days, who’s counting?) I can almost smell the salty air and feel the sand in my toes. I love the beach and you’ll probably find me there during the week. This summer will also allow me the time to really commit time to this little blog! I am looking forward to incorporating video into my social media channels and that will be a huge accomplishment for me. Fingers crossed, I get it done! I am also hoping to get completely organized and comfortable in our home this year. I’ve been doing a better job, but there’s still a lot to do!
